Stream is The Gathering's public workspace for standards development. It is where drafts are created, discussed, reviewed, and moved forward to ratification. Stream keeps the full history of each draft in one place, so anyone can understand what changed, why it changed, and what the community agreed on.
Stream is where the community keeps the work in one place: drafts, discussions, review notes, and the context needed to understand decisions over time.
There is no membership in The Gathering. Accounts exist in Stream for practical reasons: attribution, anti-spam controls, and a reliable process history. You can read everything without an account, but you will need one to comment, propose changes, or take part in consensus signals.
